بلعين مستمرة في المقاومة

إصابة العشرات بحالات الاختناق بالغاز السام في قرية بلعين غرب رام الله

اصيب العشرات من المواطنين والمتضامنين الاجانب بحالات الاختناق بالغاز السام في المسيرة الأسبوعية التي نظمتها اللجنة الشعبية لمقاومة الجدار والاستيطان في بلعين, وشارك في المسيرة التي دعت إليها اللجنة الشعبية أهالي بلعين ونشطاء سلام إسرائيليين ومتضامنين أجانب .

انطلقت المسيرة بعد صلاة الجمعة من وسط القرية متجهة إلى الأراضي التي تم تحريرها حيث رفع المشاركون الأعلام الفلسطينية, ورددوا الهتافات الداعية إلى الوحدة الوطنية والهتافات الوطنية الداعية إلى رحيل الاحتلال وهدم الجدار العنصري والتمسك بالثوابت الفلسطينية والمطالبة بتحرير الأسرى, وشعارات تدعوا الفلسطينيين لنصرة القدس, وعند وصول المشاركون إلى محمية أبو ليمون تمكنوا من اختراق الأسلاك الشائكة وعمل بعض الفتحات فيها, عندها أطلق الجنود المتواجدون خلف الجدار الأسمنتي الرصاص المطاطي وقنابل الصوت وقنابل الغاز والمياه العادمة الممزوجة بالمواد الكيميائية باتجاه المشاركين , مما أدى إلى إصابة العشرات من المواطنين ونشطاء سلام إسرائيليين ومتضامنين أجانب بحالات الاختناق عولجوا ميدانيا من قبل طواقم الاسعاف, عندها اندلعت مواجهات بين المشاركين وجنود الاحتلال ألقي خلالها الحجارة باتجاه الجنود المتواجدون خلف الجدار,كما تعمد جنود اطلاق قنابل الغاز في حقول الزيتون مما ادى الى اشتعال النيران بحقول الزيتون المجاورة .

Weekly demonstrations continue in Bil’in, Ramallah

Palestinian and foreign activists suffered from suffocation from tear gas during the weekly march organized by the Popular Committee Against the Wall in Bil'in. Many local, foreign and Israeli activists came to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people of Bil'in and their commitment with the popular struggle.

The march began after Friday prayers from the center of the village towards the apartheid wall near Abu Lemon, a piece of land that has been returned to the inhabitants of Bil’in. Participants raised Palestinian flags, and chanted slogans calling for national unity, the end of the occupation and the destruction of the apartheid wall. With a resounding claim, Palestinians also remembered the continued and ongoing support to the activists in East Jerusalem.

Upon the arrival of activists to Abu Lemon, participants managed to break through the barbed wire. Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) soldiers were stationed behind the concrete wall to start shooting rubber bullets, stun grenades, tear gas and waste water mixed with chemicals towards the protesters.

Dozens of local citizens, Israeli peace activists and foreigners were injured. The injured were treated in the field by ambulance crews. Clashes erupted between the participants and the Israeli Army, when stones were thrown in response to the shootings of rubber bullets by the IOF. Deliberate action of tear gas canisters directed towards the dry lands and olive groves led to huge fires in the field and neighboring areas.
